CAHUSAC

Thomas Cahusac Senior had two sons, one also called Thomas and one identified only by initials - W.M.Cahusac. All published music.

This firm under Thomas the elder were music publishers whose business was initially at the sign of the "Two Flutes and Violin, opposite St Clement's Church in the Strand," and then several other addresses under his sons Thomas and William.

Publications in ABC Notation :-

1758 Twenty-four Country Dances for the year 1785... Thos Cahusac (Mitchell Library, Glasgow, M9200). vmp ABCs This book starts on page 25 and the item numbering goes from 25 to 48, indicating that it is intended to be part of a larger work, in simlar manner to Johnson's etc., which I have so far been unable to trace. The same probably applies to the other books mentioned here.
