LAWRENCE LEADLEY


Lawrence Leadley (1827-97) was born in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, and became an architect in Bradford, West Yorkshire. He was the subject of the book "The Fiddler of Helperby", Dragonfly Music, 1994, wherein can be found many of his tunes and an excellent overview of musical life of his period.
